Overview

The Journal of Applied Therapeutics (JAT) invites submissions that contribute to evidence-based, clinically relevant, and interdisciplinary understanding of applied therapeutics.  

All manuscripts must be original, not under consideration elsewhere, and prepared in accordance with these guidelines.

Scope of the Journal  
JAT publishes interdisciplinary work with real-world, translational relevance across:  

- Clinical medicine and applied therapeutics  
- Mental health and neuropsychiatry  
- Behavioural and psychological sciences  
- Public health and rehabilitation  
- Legal, ethical, and policy dimensions of healthcare  

Submissions must demonstrate practical applicability, methodological rigour, and relevance to real-world systems.

Article Types  

- Original Research Articles – Empirical studies (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods)  
- Review Articles – Narrative or systematic reviews with critical synthesis  
- Case Reports / Case Series – Clinically relevant and instructive cases  
- Clinical Perspectives / Commentaries – Practice-oriented insights and expert opinions  
- Policy and Legal Analyses – Interdisciplinary work linking clinical and policy domains  
- Short Communications – Brief reports of preliminary findings  

Submission Process  

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online system:

Steps:  
1. Register or log in  
2. Start a new submission  
3. Upload files (Title Page and Manuscript)  
4. Enter metadata  
5. Confirm submission  

Manuscript Preparation  

- File format: Microsoft Word (.doc / .docx)  
- Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt  
- Line spacing: 1.5  
- Margins: 1 inch  
- Alignment: Justified  

Manuscript Structure  

Title Page (submitted separately)  
- Title of the article  
- Author names and affiliations  
- Corresponding author details (email mandatory)  
- Word count  
- Conflict of interest declaration  
- Funding disclosure  

Main Manuscript (blinded file)  
Must NOT contain identifying information.  

Structure (Original Articles):  
- Abstract (150–250 words)  
- Keywords (3–6)  
- Introduction  
- Methods  
- Results  
- Discussion  
- Conclusion  
- References  

Other article types may use flexible headings but must maintain logical structure.

Referencing Style  

JAT follows the Vancouver referencing style.  

- Number references in order of appearance  
- Use superscript or bracketed format consistently  
- List references numerically (not alphabetically)  
- Include all authors if 6 or fewer; if more than 6, list first 6 followed by et al.  

Example:  
Smith J, Kumar R, Patel A. Advances in applied therapeutics. J Clin Med. 2022;15(3):123–130.

Tables and Figures  

- Must be clearly labelled and numbered  
- Include titles and legends  
- Submit in high resolution (JPEG/PNG preferred)  
- Indicate placement within manuscript  

Ethical Requirements  

Authors must ensure:  

- Work is original and not submitted elsewhere  
- All contributors meet authorship criteria  
- Ethical approval has been obtained where applicable  
- Patient confidentiality and informed consent are maintained  

All submissions must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics Policy.

Conflict of Interest  

Authors must disclose all potential conflicts.  

If none:  
“The authors declare no conflict of interest.”

Funding Disclosure  

All funding sources must be declared.  

If none:  
“This research received no specific grant from any funding agency.”

Use of AI Tools  

- Use must be disclosed  
- Authors retain full responsibility for content  
- AI tools must not be listed as authors  

Peer Review  

All submissions undergo:  

- Initial editorial screening  
- External peer review (where applicable)  

Possible decisions:  
Accept / Minor Revision / Major Revision / Reject  

Revision Process  

- Authors must respond to reviewer comments point-by-point  
- Revised manuscripts should clearly indicate changes  

Article Processing Charges (APC)  

The Journal of Applied Therapeutics operates primarily as a no-fee journal.

However, Article Processing Charges (APC) may apply to selected submissions under defined circumstances. Authors will be informed in advance. Editorial decisions are independent of any financial considerations.

Post-Acceptance  

After acceptance:  

- Manuscripts undergo copyediting and formatting  
- Authors review proofs  
- Final publication is completed online  

Author Responsibilities  

Authors are responsible for:  

- Accuracy and integrity of data  
- Compliance with ethical standards  
- Correct referencing and citations
